Presidents’ roundtable member inducted into Washington Business Hall of Fame

Baltimore, MD, October 30, 2001 – Roger Blunt, Chairman and CEO of Blunt Enterprise, LLC, which trades as Essex Construction, and a member of Baltimore-based The Presidents’ Roundtable will be inducted into the Washington Business Hall of Fame on November 8, 2001, at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC. The Hall of Fame was established in 1988 by Junior Achievement and is co-sponsored by the Greater Washington Board of Trade and The Washingtonian magazine. The honor is bestowed upon outstanding business leaders and innovators.

Roger Blunt has 30 years of business experience, holds Professional Engineer certifications, is an active volunteer for community organizations and serves as a Director on the Board of several corporate businesses and trade organizations. Founded in 1982, Essex Construction provides construction management and general contracting services. The company maintains offices in Oxon Hill and Baltimore, Maryland.

Blunt is a member of The Presidents’ Roundtable, an 18-year old CEO member organization of committed Black business people who promote their members in the business sector and seek economic advancement for the community. The organization’s members collectively garner revenues in excess of $2.4 billion dollars and collectively employ 950+ employees in the metropolitan area. The members serve on over 68 community and business Boards.
